

MSI Philippines, a prominent player in the tech and gaming industry, enlisted our agency’s expertise to promote their latest laptops for the Back to School season. As a global brand synonymous with quality and performance, MSI sought to capture the attention of Filipino students with stylish yet powerful devices tailored for schoolwork.
ARK embarked on a creative journey involving Design Development and Video Production to showcase MSI’s four distinct laptop models in one cohesive video. The project scope included crafting a full hero video along with four 15-second cutdowns for each product model.

Faced with the challenge of merging four diverse product models targeting different markets, our team drew inspiration from the concept of the Multiverse. Building on the success of recent films exploring parallel universes, we envisioned a narrative that would resonate with our target audience of high school and college students.

Embracing pop culture references and the Multiverse concept, we crafted visually captivating scenes reminiscent of trending movies like Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness and Everything, Everywhere, All at once. By tapping into students’ familiarity with internet culture, we aimed to create a connection that would capture their attention and ignite their curiosity.
When we said we’d travel the Multiverse, we made sure we got one of the Internet’s most famous characters especially for the younger generation who’s into Lo-fi Hip-Hop Music.
“Lo-fi Girl,” also known as the “Study Girl” or “Chilled Cow Girl,” gained fame as the central character in the YouTube livestream “lofi hip hop radio – beats to relax/study to.”
She represents a peaceful and focused atmosphere conducive to concentration and relaxation. The stream has garnered millions of views and has become a staple background ambiance for many people’s daily routines.
This livestream, launched by the YouTube channel ChilledCow, features a looping animation of a girl studying while listening to music.
The stream became immensely popular among students and those seeking relaxed, ambient music to accompany their work or study sessions.
The character, often depicted as a girl studying at her desk with headphones on, has become an iconic symbol of the lo-fi hip hop genre and the chill study music community.
To bring the vision to life, our team designed four unique sets using one base structure, each representing a distinct world within the Multiverse. With careful planning and attention to detail, we ensured consistency and coherence across all elements of the production, from casting to set design.

The campaign garnered positive feedback from the market, particularly within the tech industry, where social media buzz was significant.
Our efforts even earned recognition in an article by Ungeek, highlighting the innovative recreation of the lo-fi hip-hop radio trend by MSI. While the direct impact on sales may be challenging to quantify, the campaign succeeded in capturing audience attention and fostering engagement with the MSI brand.
